A Premier Community of Trees, Lakes and Tranquility
Where oaks and junipers encircle peaceful waters. Where country living is a constant state of mind. Few escapes are as natural as McKinney Meadows, a lakeside community where home us just a wooded path or fishing pier away. Contact us for information about our McKinney lots, and McKinney acreage lots.
Here, on the 470-acre homestead of Civil War hero Jesse Stiff, near Melissa in northern Collin County, you can make your own homestead on gently rolling land set among more than 20,000 trees. Approximately 30% of the first phase lots are heavily wooded and feature lake frontage. The private lake itself is impressive: 30 acres, well stocked with gamefish. It is accessible to the entire community as a park that is perfect for picnics and get-togethers.
To ensure the community maintains its distinctive character, homes must be a minimum of 3,000 sq. ft. McKinney real estate lots will be heavily landscaped in keeping with the tree-filled setting. In fact, every homeowner will receive up to $10,000 in trees from Stiff Creek Tree Farm, a tree reserve exclusively for residents of McKinney Meadows. Builders are required to use high insulation values (R-value) so homes are as energy efficient as possible. Streets will be paved to high county standards, which lowers homeowner dues because of minimal maintenance. Excellent schools, access to Highway 380 and the coming Trans Texas Highway all add to the desirability of McKinney Meadows. The streets are paved with concrete to the highest Collin county standards and will never need any maintance from the Home Owners Association. Collin County has agreed to take responsibility of these streets as they were built of concrete and have totally tested to the highest standard.
