Here, on the 470-acre homestead of Civil War hero Jesse Stiff, near Melissa in northern Collin County, you can make your own homestead on gently rolling land set among more than 20,000 trees. The streets are paved with concrete to the highest Collin county standards and will never need any maintance from the Home Owners Association.
